From freight forwarding to domestic courier — without rebuilding from scratch.

You already run vehicles, drivers, hubs, and customers. You don't run last-mile. CourierManager is the platform that bridges the gap — teaching the business progressively while your team learns it, scaling from first parcel to national operation.
Who this is for

Built for freight operators entering courier

  • You run long-haul freight, logistics, or transport and want to add a domestic courier arm
  • You have backhaul capacity on routes that could carry parcels if you had the right platform
  • You have customers and vehicles but no last-mile software, dispatcher workflow, or courier app
  • You've been evaluating building internally, buying a single-country platform, or partnering with an incumbent
The three realities

Going freight → courier is a category shift

01

Courier economics don't look like freight economics

Freight margins are thin per kilometre. Courier margins are thin per parcel. The math changes — and so do the systems.

  • Parcel-level tracking, not shipment-level — every individual package has status, location, and financial state
  • COD is a first-class flow, not an afterthought — reconciliation is where amateur operations lose money
  • Customer expectations are 24h, not 48–72h — and they expect real-time tracking
  • Your pricing model changes — per-parcel weight/zone tariffs, volume tiers, COD premiums
02

The operational layer you don't have yet

Freight operations typically have a TMS (transport management system). Courier operations need a different beast — and that's what CourierManager brings:

  • Dispatcher workflow — orders in, routes out, exceptions managed, driver instructions pushed live
  • Android driver app — offline-capable, BT printer, photo POD, signature, COD collection
  • Customer tracking pages — branded, per-shipment, real-time
  • COD settlement — the cash-flow backbone most greenfield operators underestimate
  • Standardized status codes — 8-status model across your operation and any partner couriers you work with
03

You don't have to build the Romanian courier market alone

CourierManager ships with built-in integrations to Romanian courier partners — FAN, Cargus, Sameday, DPD, GLS, Dragon Star, and more. That means:

  • Hybrid launch: route shipments your trucks can't cover to partner couriers, automatically, under your own brand
  • Gradual buildout: start with 80% partner coverage, shift to 80% in-house as your network grows
  • National reach from day one — even if your trucks only cover Transylvania on day one, your customers get national service
How the platform teaches the business

Three layers, your pace

  1. 01
    Starting layer

    Smart labels, no scanner hardware

Your first 30 days don't require scanner hardware or sorting infrastructure.

    • Every shipment gets a smart label that encodes route, zone, and customer
    • Drivers use the Android app; sorting happens by label, not by scan
    • You learn the operation with your existing team before investing in automation
  2. 02
    Scaling layer

    Portable scanners, hub workflow

When volume justifies it, sorting and hub operations scale incrementally.

    • Hub-level tracking, portable scanners, courier-level assignment
    • Linehaul scheduling between hubs — route optimization you don't build yourself
    • Partner-courier integrations for anything you can't cover yourself
  3. 03
    Automation layer

    Conveyor, ERP, full scale

When you're moving 20K+ shipments a day, automation makes sense:

    • Bidirectional sorting-belt integration — assign chutes, receive sorting events back
    • Parcel lockers and pickup-point networks
    • ERP / TMS cross-integration (REST API + webhooks)
Why you can trust this transition

KLG Europe Romania & Strongo

KLG Europe Romania / Strongo

Logistics & freight operator running a courier brand on CourierManager

KLG Europe Romania is an international logistics and freight-forwarding operator. Strongo is their courier brand — for heavy parcels, furniture, and items that don't fit the small-parcel playbook. Strongo runs on CourierManager. Their public-facing tracking page credits the platform directly.

Cristian Turturica, KLG Europe Romania, is open to speaking with prospects directly about the decision and the first 90 days.
Romania-specific questions

The questions a Romanian operator actually asks

Can I integrate with eMAG?

eMAG's integration model is: they connect outbound to courier platforms. If eMAG ships with Gomag or Innoship (both already integrated with CourierManager natively), eMAG shipments reach your operation through those channels.

The technical pass-through works out of the box when the commercial relationship exists between you and eMAG. That commercial conversation is theirs and yours.

Can I work with Fan Courier as a partner?

FAN Courier is one of 20+ built-in partner integrations. You can route shipments to FAN as overflow, hybrid backhaul, or first-mile/last-mile handoff. Bidirectional — you can also receive shipments from integrators on CourierManager who route into your network.

What about AWB formats and local tax?

CourierManager handles Romanian-compliant AWB and invoicing formats natively. VAT, local invoicing, COD with RON/EUR conversion, and integration with Romanian banking (including Revolut per Own Company) are built in.
